DANIEL YEO

leadership and sales(process) trainer

Daniel has been in regional business development, product management role, leadership and sales(process) training for more than ten years. During this period, he was involved in strategizing, roll out of business plans, product launches, go to market activities, sales channel management and setting up of Learning and Development department of multinational corporation.

He started his career as a technical engineer with a Singapore conglomerate in the medical technology business. With his technical expertise, he then moved into a technical business development role where he was responsible for tendering work for large projects like the DTSS (Deep Tunnel Sewerage System) and medical gases tender for private and government hospitals in Singapore.

In 2005, Daniel joined a Germany medical technology company where he successfully strategized and implemented business plans and achieved double digit growth from 2005 to 2015 for the business unit he was heading. As a regional business development manager, he also managed and set up distribution channels in Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and Laos.

In learning and development arena, Daniel was the main training manager for the entire sales and clinical application specialist team in South East Asia. And he played a pivotal role in introducing value proposition sales training. Due to his linguistic capabilities, Daniel was invited to China and Taiwan on several occasions to conduct sales training and successfully helped closed deals worth US$400,000.

Daniel is now the Head of Learning and Development department in the same multinational company. He is tasked to set up the learning Academy in South East Asia with the vision of enabling his organization to be the “Most attractive business partner of our customers using training and people development as a differentiating tool”. Daniel defined and championed the Academy framework which is aligned to business strategies and aspirations, developed and conducted competencies based blended training curriculums that are contextualized to the diverse cultures and learning needs in South East Asia. Areas of Expertise

Daniel has more than ten years of working experience in regional business development role and is currently the head of Organization Development (OD) in a multinational medical device company based in Singapore.  He is passionate about enabling people and organization to become more productive, profitable, and also happier. In this aspect, he has developed the Resilient @ Workplace (R@W) Program, to help executives and managers build their mental resilient when faced with challenging situations at workplace

Daniel has also developed a two day Authentic Communication Program and a two hour Effective Questioning Techniques Workshop to help managers and leaders communicate more effectively. He has taught the Resilient @ Workplace (R@W) Program both in large multinationals and the Ministry of Education in Singapore.  

Daniel is also a trained executive leadership coach, his special interest include sales performance and leadership coaching. He has coached managers and CEOs both in Singapore and overseas.  His engineering background coupled with over ten years of business experiences in the Asia Pacific region allow Daniel to appreciate and empathize challenges faced by both technical and business leaders. Applying fun, emotion Intelligence and coaching skills transform his workshops into an engaging experiential learning which participants could relate and readily apply to their working environment.
